The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

• Support customers and field teams in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges on KLA products, helping to ensure high system performance and customer satisfaction.


• Collaborate with experienced engineers to analyze issues, identify solutions, and contribute to continuous product improvements.


• Create and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge articles that help teams worldwide work more efficiently.


• Participate in customer evaluations, product demonstrations, beta testing, and new technology introductions, gaining exposure to cutting‑edge semiconductor solutions.


• Lead or contribute to small technical projects and cross‑functional initiatives that drive operational and product excellence.


• Work closely with Customer Support Engineers and Product Support teams to investigate complex technical issues and develop effective action plans.


• Provide remote and on‑site technical support through phone, email, and field activities, supporting customers across different regions.


• Assist with data analysis, reporting, and technical presentations to support business and engineering decisions.


• Help improve internal knowledge management systems by identifying opportunities to enhance documentation, processes, and support tools.


• Develop your technical expertise through structured training, hands‑on experience, and certification programs, including opportunities to support customer‑facing activities in the field.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex equipment and product issues in both field and customer environments.


• Experience with technical documentation and knowledge management, including creating Best Known Methods (BKMs), maintaining knowledge databases, and documenting corrective actions and process improvements.


• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including Field Service Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, and Product Support teams to support escalations, service alerts, evaluations, and customer projects.


• Project and customer support mindset, with the capability to lead small projects, support beta testing and evaluations, prepare technical reports, and contribute to action plans for product improvements.


• Willingness to work in customer fabs and travel as needed, combined with a strong commitment to continuous learning and product certification.

The role includes hands‑on field support, on‑the‑job training, and approximately 20–40% time in the fab environment.
