Zusammenfassung

DEME Group in Germany is seeking a Technical Supervisor for our Fleet Interventions department to lead on-site preparation, supervision of dry-dockings, maintenance, repair, mobilization and upgrades on vessels worldwide.

You will work in a rotational 2/1 setup, coordinate with foremen, technicians, shipyards and subcontractors, ensure safety, quality, planning and budget control, and report progress in Maximo while collaborating with project teams and fleet stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

  • Master's degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in maritime, ship repair, shipyard, vessel maintenance or technical project environment.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems; hydraulics and pneumatics are a plus.
  • Experience coordinating technical work on site and balancing quality, planning and cost.
  • Proactive team player who takes ownership, communicates openly, and solves problems.
  • Willingness to work in a rotational setup (2/1) with HQ/home prep and on-site worldwide execution.

Aufgaben

  • Prepare assigned work orders by reviewing the technical scope, ensuring information, materials, spare parts and permits are in place before execution starts.
  • Coordinate and supervise the execution of the scope on site with foremen, technicians, shipyards and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery.
  • Organize and follow up daily toolbox and progress meetings; monitor progress, schedule, quality and budget for the scope.
  • Ensure materials and spare parts are available on time; coordinate logistics; manage returns and repair flows; close work orders in the system.
  • Report progress through Maximo and other tracking tools; contribute to technical reports and commissioning summaries; escalate where needed.
  • Collaborate with Technical Works Managers, Project Managers, vessel crews, fleet stakeholders and external partners to solve issues and improve on-site execution.

As a Technical Supervisor for our Fleet Interventions department, you are at the heart of technical interventions on our vessels and assets worldwide. You prepare and supervise dry-dockings, maintenance, repair, mobilization and upgrade scopes on site, making sure safety, quality, planning and budget remain fully under control. Working closely with project teams, vessel crews, yards and subcontractors, you turn preparation into smooth execution and solve issues where they arise. This is a hands‑on rotational role with limited office presence and strong international exposure, offering the opportunity to work across different vessels, locations, cultures and technical disciplines while continuously expanding your expertise.

Your profile
  • You hold a Master’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline.

  • You bring at least 5 years of relevant working experience in a maritime, ship repair, shipyard, vessel maintenance or technical project environment.

  • You have solid technical knowledge in mechanical and/or electrical systems; experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and maintenance activities is a strong asset.

  • You are experienced in coordinating technical work on site and know how to balance quality, planning and cost within your assigned scope.

  • You are a proactive team player who takes ownership, communicates openly, keeps overview under pressure and focuses on practical problem-solving.

  • You are flexible to work in a rotational setup, with preparation partly from HQ or home and execution mainly on site worldwide, typically in a 2/1 rotation.
