Consortio Recruitment Group is partnered with a well-established shipmanagement company in Leer to appoint an experienced Technical Superintendent. You will oversee the safe, reliable operation of an assigned fleet, coordinating with Masters, Chief Engineers, shipyards, class societies and suppliers to maintain performance and compliance.

The role requires a strong marine engineering background with seagoing experience, and exceptional organisational and communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as Technical Superintendent in cargo/shipping operations.
• Marine engineering background with seagoing experience up to Chief Engineer level preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance, dry-docking, class requirements, statutory compliance, and procurement.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with ability to manage multiple vessels and stakeholders.
• Professional English skills are essential; German a plus.

The company is now seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to join its technical department in Leer. This is a key position with responsibility for the safe, reliable and cost‑effective operation of an assigned fleet. You will work closely with vessels, Masters, Chief Engineers, shipyards, class societies and suppliers, taking ownership of technical performance, maintenance and repairs while ensuring vessels remain fully compliant and commercially operational.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Technical Superintendent, ideally within General Cargo, Multipurpose, Short‑Sea or similar vessel operations.
• A strong marine engineering background, with previous seagoing experience ideally to Chief Engineer level or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge of planned maintenance, repairs, dry‑docking, class requirements, statutory compliance and technical procurement.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple vessels, projects and stakeholders while maintaining a practical, hands‑on approach.
• Professional English language skills are essential; German language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
