SIXT is seeking a senior finance engineering professional to join the newly created role based in our Pullach headquarters near Munich. You will partner with Finance, SAP, and other engineering teams to translate business and tax requirements into precise technical specifications, ensuring compliant and scalable solutions.

You will drive requirements across SAP and related systems, act as the technical liaison for stakeholders, and leverage AI tooling to accelerate design and validation,

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in technical program or project management, business/systems analysis, or techno-functional consulting with finance-focused exposure.
• Ability to translate compliance and business requirements into technical specs for engineering teams.
• Strong collaboration across multiple business units and SAP-related integration discussions.

• Partner with finance and other business teams to shape initiatives with Finance input from the start.
• Design how requirements are implemented across SAP and surrounding systems, ensuring data flows work.
• Serve as the main technical liaison between requirement owners and engineering teams.
• Draft first-pass specs using AI tooling and proactively resolve inconsistencies before they escalate.
• Present clear options and path forward to leadership when decisions require escalation.
• Maintain rigorous communication and risk flagging early to avoid misalignment.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You report into Finance engineering's leadership as a senior individual contributor, the first hire into a newly created role, based in Finance alongside our SAP and other Finance engineering teams, with day-to-day reach across SIXT's other businesses
• You partner closely with those other businesses, often before they even think to loop Finance in, so their initiatives get shaped with Finance from the start, translating compliance and business requirements from Tax, Accounting, Treasury, and other Finance teams into clear technical requirements engineering teams can build against
• You design how requirements get implemented across SAP and the systems around it, close enough to the data flows to know a solution actually works and solves the business problem it's meant to solve
• You act as the trusted point of contact between requirement owners and the engineering teams building the systems it touches, getting the technical solution right and coordinated, not taking over someone else's roadmap, resourcing, or delivery
• You use AI tooling as a genuine lever in how you work, drafting first-pass specs from scattered stakeholder input, catching inconsistencies across requirements before they get expensive, and getting faster from an open question to a proposed answer
• You bring open questions to leadership with a clear proposed way forward, and when a call needs more than influence to land, leadership backs you

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Experience You have several years of experience in technical program or project management, business/systems analysis, or a techno-functional consulting role, ideally with exposure to finance, tax, or compliance-driven system requirements
• Business Fluency You stay genuinely curious about what other parts of SIXT are building, bring Finance's perspective in early, and can read a compliance or business requirement and turn it into a clear technical specification, knowing the difference between a technical call and a legal or tax judgment call
• AI Fluency You use AI tooling as a genuine lever in how you work, accelerating solution design and stress testing integration concepts early
• Systems Fluency You're intelligent about SAP and comfortable working across the other systems around it, enough to have informed, productive conversations with our SAP architects about integration, data flow, and constraints, and to spot when a proposed solution doesn't quite add up
• Stakeholder Management You know how to bring multiple stakeholders and teams together around a shared plan, driving alignment through influence and trust rather than formal authority
• Rigor & Communication You verify before you build, checking that a proposed solution actually matches the stated requirement, and you communicate clearly and directly, comfortable flagging an open question or risk early rather than letting it sit
