Zusammenfassung

AI Futures is seeking aTechnical Program Manager to lead the convergence of AI, software, controls, hardware, and industrial design for a general-purpose humanoid robot intended for real-world physical labour. You will own the full NPI stage-gate process and drive cross-functional delivery to production readiness.

You bring 7+ years of hardware-delivering TPM experience, hands-on mechanical/electrical knowledge, and a startup DNA to build scalable delivery in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years in Technical/Engineering Program Management delivering complex physical products through a full NPI cycle.
• Hardware experience allowing architecture discussions with leads.
• Start-up experience building scalable delivery in ambiguous environments.
• Hands-on with stage-gated development, BOM management and traceability.
• Experience with supplier/CM, DFM/DFA, tooling and ramp to production.
• Engineering or related technical degree; PMP/PRINCE2/IPMA a plus.

Aufgaben

• Own the full NPI stage-gate process (APQP/VDA or EVT/DVT/PVT) with gate criteria and design reviews.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery across AI, software, controls, hardware, and industrial design to converge into a single system.
• Manage risk, safety, regulatory compliance (CE, FCC, Machinery Directive, ISO) as critical-path items.
• Oversee supply chain and production readiness, tooling, and ramp planning from T0 to T2.
• Track budgets, BOM costs, and implement ECO/ECN changes across hardware, software and firmware baselines.

My client is building a general-purpose humanoid robot designed for physical labour across real-world environments — spanning AI, software, mechanical, electrical, and controls, all converging into one production-ready product. They are looking for a Technical Program Manager to own that convergence end-to-end, from concept through production readiness.

What you’ll own:

• The full NPI stage-gate process (APQP/VDA or EVT/DVT/PVT) — gate criteria, design reviews (PDR/CDR/ID/CMF), prototype build stages, go/no-go decisions
• Cross-functional delivery across AI, software, controls, hardware and industrial design — keeping parallel workstreams converging into one coherent system
• Risk, safety and regulatory compliance (CE, FCC, Machinery Directive, ISO) as critical-path items
• Supply chain and production readiness — DFM/DFA, tooling (T0→T1→T2), component qualification, pilot runs and ramp
• Budget, BOM cost tracking, and engineering change control (ECO/ECN) across hardware, software and firmware baselines

What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years in Technical/Engineering Program Management delivering complex physical products through a full NPI cycle — robotics, consumer electronics, automotive, or deep-tech. You’ve shipped hardware, not just software.
• Real mechanical, hardware and electrical experience — enough to go toe-to-toe with technical leads on architecture, trade-offs and constraints, not just track their timelines.
• Start‑up experience — you know how to build scalable delivery process from scratch in a fast‑moving, resource‑constrained environment, and you thrive in ambiguity rather than waiting for structure to be handed to you.
• Hands‑on fluency with stage‑gated development (APQP/VDA or EVT/DVT/PVT), BOM management, requirements traceability
• Supplier/CM experience — DFM/DFA, tooling, production ramp
• Engineering, physics or related technical degree; PMP/PRINCE2/IPMA a plus
