Zusammenfassung

RemoteLeads is seeking a hardware engineering and technical program management professional for a 12‑month engagement with remote flexibility. You will coordinate design deliverables, experiments, validation plans, and hardware milestones.

You will drive supplier coordination, manage overseas vendors, plan development schedules, and ensure manufacturing readiness through design for manufacturing. Strong communication and risk tracking are essential to keep multiple programs on track.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in hardware engineering or technical program management for consumer electronics hardware.
• Experience managing tech development programs from design through manufacturing and qualification.
• Experience with overseas hardware suppliers and vendor engagement models (ODM/JDM/CM).

Aufgaben

• Coordinate design deliverables, specs, experiments, validation plans, and milestones.
• Drive component delivery, supplier coordination, qualification activities, and builds.
• Develop schedules for development, delivery, builds, and qualification activities.
• Coordinate design convergence, DFManufacturing readiness and design for manufacturing.
• Plan DOE, build matrices, material readiness, and system-build deliverables.
• Track status, risks, issues, dependencies, and communicate updates to teams and leadership.

• Participate in itD practice meetings, thought leadership, case studies, and Digital Transformation initiatives.

Description

• Develop schedules for development, delivery, builds, and qualification based on technical and business requirements.
• Coordinate design convergence, design lock, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and manufacturing readiness.
• Plan Design of Experiments (DOE), build matrices, material readiness, and system-build deliverables.
• Track program status, risks, issues, dependencies, and schedule setbacks; communicate updates to engineering teams and leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and cross-functional teams on program planning and build strategy.
• Participate in itD practice meetings, thought leadership, case studies, internal networking, and Digital Transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering or technical program management for consumer electronics hardware.
• Experience managing technology development programs from product design through manufacturing and qualification.
• Experience working with overseas hardware suppliers and managing component delivery.
• Experience with ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models.
• Knowledge of phase-gate technology development processes.
• Experience with mechanical systems, DFM, tooling, validation, and characterization.
• Experience coordinating numerous cross-functional partners and multiple programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including program status reporting.
• Ability to manage schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and engineering deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience; Smart Glasses, wearable technology, or emerging hardware experience preferred.
