Zusammenfassung

Symrise is a global fragrance and flavors company seeking a Technical Perfumer to ensure continuity, compliance, and performance of fragrance formulas. The role links Creation, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, and customers, while developing replacements for critical materials and harmonizing formulas.

Candidate should have 5+ years in perfumery, strong olfactive skills, and proficiency in English (German a plus).

Qualifikationen

  • Certified Perfumer education.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Perfumer or Technical Perfumer.
  • Strong knowledge of fragrance raw materials, their physical, chemical, and olfactive properties.
  • Experience with fragrance formulation and ingredient interactions across applications.
  • Strong olfactive evaluation skills.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
  • Good understanding of fragrance regulations, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and work across functions.
  • Understanding of business processes from Creation to Regulatory and Supply Chain.
  • Good IT user skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

  • Develop replacements and alternatives for critical raw materials.
  • Rework formulas due to regulatory changes, discontinued materials, and portfolio optimization.
  • Drive raw material and formula harmonization projects.
  • Support customers and internal stakeholders on renewability, natural and synthetic raw materials, and technical fragrance topics.
  • Investigate and resolve quality, production, and complaint-related issues.
  • Act as the first point of contact for raw material topics including REACh, regulatory requirements, Philyra, stock optimization, and shared raw materials.
  • Manage technical projects and ensure timely delivery of solutions.

Your role

The Technical Perfumer ensures the continuity, compliance, and performance of fragrance formulas by developing technical solutions for raw material, formulation, and regulatory challenges. The role serves as a key link between Creation, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, and customers.



  • Develop replacements and alternatives for critical raw materials.

About you
