Symrise is seeking an Expert EH&S Safety Data Management to ensure compliant GHS classification, labeling, and SDS creation for raw materials and products on a global scale. The role requires university-level chemical sciences education and hands-on experience with GHS and SDS processes.

The candidate will monitor regulatory changes, maintain SDS documentation, and collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Product Stewardship, and Supply Chain across international markets.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Chemical Sciences or similar field.
• Experience with GHS classification and labeling.
• Experience creating and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Knowledge of REACH and chemical compliance requirements is a plus.
• Proficiency in English; German language skills advantageous.

Your Role

As an Expert EH&S Safety Data Management (m/f/d), you will be responsible for ensuring the compliant GHS classification, labeling, and safety data sheets creation of Symrise raw materials and products on a global scale.

• Perform GHS classification and labeling of products in accordance with global legal requirements.
• Prepare and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for global markets.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of safety-related data like physical-chemical data, toxicological and ecotoxicological information
• Monitor and implement regulatory changes affecting product classification and safety data sheets.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Product Stewardship, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders worldwide.
• Support internal and external inquiries related to GHS classifications and safety data sheets.

About You

• University degree in Chemical Sciences, Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Sciences, or a comparable field. Education/Training as a lab technician, CTA, or similar
• Experience in GHS classification and labeling and the preparation of Safety Data Sheets.
• Basic understanding of REACH regulations and chemical compliance requirements.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in an international environment.
• IT skills, ideally with experience in SAP or related compliance systems.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Additional language skills, particularly German, are an advantage.
