Technical Lead sought for a fast-growing defense technology company developing next-generation systems that enable police and military teams to make better decisions in complex, high-pressure environments. This is a really exciting robotics/UAV organization who build advanced operational awareness solutions that combine field sensors, secure communications and intelligent data processing to deliver reliable technology for mission critical applications.

This is a highly autonomous role for a senior engineer who enjoys staying close to the technology. You will lead technical decisions across complex hardware and software systems, guide engineering teams, manage technical risk and act as the key technical interface between the CTO, engineers and external stakeholders.

You will not be stepping away from engineering completely - this is a role for someone who enjoys getting involved, whether that means reviewing architecture, solving technical challenges, writing code, diving into embedded systems or helping the team navigate unfamiliar technologies as well as helping the technical team scale. This role is offering between €80,000-110,000 depending on experience + benefits.

Skills sought:

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, Systems Engineer or similar role within complex hardware/software environments
• Strong generalist engineering background with the ability to understand and oversee complete technical systems
• Experience working across both software and hardware domains
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems, embedded software or electronics is highly valuable
• Ability to contribute technically when required, including programming experience in languages such as Python, C/C++ or similar
• Experience working with engineering tools such as Git, Jira and CAD systems
• Strong understanding of system architecture, technical trade-offs and engineering decision making
• Experience within defense, aerospace, semiconductor, telecommunications, robotics or other deep-tech industries is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical teams, leadership and external stakeholders
