Chattahoochee Technical College invites applications for a full-time Instructor, Legal Studies (home campus: Marietta). The position requires teaching all LGST courses within the Associate Degree and Diploma programs, with responsibility to advise students and collaborate with internal and external partners to promote enrollment and retention.

Some telework is available; hybrid and online instruction is provided, both asynchronous and synchronous. Anticipated employment date is October 2026.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum qualifications: Juris Doctorate OR Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies/Legal Studies with paralegal work experience OR Master’s Degree in Law or Legal Studies with paralegal work experience.
• Postsecondary teaching experience is a plus, and experience with online learning platforms is preferred.
• Ability to advise students and collaborate with internal/external partners to promote enrollment.

Job Description:

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Instructor, Legal Studies (Home campus: Marietta)

QUICK LOOK:

• This position is a Full-time, 12-month faculty position.
• This instructor will report to the Associate Dean of Business.
• This instructor will teach all Legal Studies (LGST) courses in the Associate Degree and Diploma.
• The LGST faculty work together to meet department, division, and college goals.
• In addition to teaching, faculty advise students to meet department, division and college goals.
• In addition to teaching, LGST faculty collaborate with internal and external partners to promote enrollment and retention.
• Prior teaching experience is a plus, but is not required.
• Some telework is available. Hybrid and online instruction. Online instruction is asynchronous and synchronous.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Juris Doctorate
• OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies/Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal
• OR
• Master’s Degree in Law or Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS_:(In addition to the minimum qualifications)_

• Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction
• Experience with instruction in a postsecondary setting with Blackboard or other online learning management systems
• Experience supervising the work of paralegals/legal assistants

SALARY/BENEFITS: $70,928 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
