Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossene technische oder berufliche Ausbildung, z.B. als Mechaniker, Metallbauer oder Anlagenmechaniker.
• Erste Erfahrungen in der Abfallbehandlung oder technischen Anlagenbetrieb von Vorteil.
• Klasse B Führerschein und Berechtigung zum Führen von Industriefahrzeugen wünschenswert.

Aufgaben

• Bearbeitung von radioaktivem Abfall (Probenahme, Sortierung, Vorbereitung, Deklaration).
• Übertragung von Abfallbehältern und Sortierung sowie Klassifizierung von Abfallfraktionen.
• Dokumentation aller Arbeitsschritte im IT-System.

The production and use of radioactive products for industry, medicine and research generates radioactive residues. Eventually, the products will reach the end of their life cycle and both the residues and the products must be disposed of properly and in accordance with regulations. Who takes on this challenging task? This is where Eckert & Ziegler Umweltdienste GmbH, a subsidiary of the Eckert & Ziegler Group, comes in. Aware of its great responsibility, the company accepts used radiation sources from its own production worldwide, as well as other materials from all over Germany that are generated as waste when handling radioactive substances, for example in laboratories, production facilities and industrial plants. Where possible, these are recycled and returned to the economic cycle. If this is not possible, they are processed for proper disposal. Your contribution to success

• Processing of radioactive waste (sampling, sorting, preparation, declaration)
• Transfer of waste containers and sorting and classification of waste fractions
• Provision of radioactive waste for further treatment or transport
• Container loading and unloading
• Documentation of all work steps in the IT system
• Performing operational radiation protection tasks
• Operation of wastewater facilities, including wastewater treatment, sampling, and documentation

This qualifies you

• Completed technical or vocational training, e.g., as a mechanic, metalworker, plant mechanic, or similar
• Interest in a responsible position in the field of environmental technology and waste disposal
• Initial experience in waste treatment, decontamination, or technical plant operation is an advantage
• Class B driver's license and permission to operate industrial trucks are desirable
• Very good written and spoken German
• Good working knowledge of MS standard software
• Willingness to make occasional day trips to the external warehouse (within the federal state)
• Reliability and an independent and careful approach to work
