Kappa optronics is seeking a results-driven Procurement Specialist to join our high‑tech team in Germany. You will procure electronic, mechanical, and optical components, evaluate offers, manage supplier contracts, and ensure timely material availability for complex development projects.

Qualifikationen

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent apprenticeship with training.
• Experience in technical procurement is advantageous.
• Technical understanding in electronics, optoelectronics, mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient with ERP/procurement systems and MS Office.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and cost/quality awareness.
• Confident with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Very good German and English skills (min. B2).

Your Responsibilities:

• Procurement of electronic, mechanical, and optical components as well as technical services
• Obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating offers, prices, and contracts
• Ensuring timely material availability by monitoring orders and delivery dates
• Selection, evaluation, and development of national and international suppliers
• Analysis of procurement markets and identification of alternative supply sources
• Implementation of cost optimizations and support in make-or-buy decisions
• Close collaboration with development, system engineering, production, and project management in customer and development projects
• Identification and minimization of procurement risks as well as support in complaints and supplier audits
• Planning, creation, and comprehensive management of production orders in collaboration with production teams and business units

Your Profile:

• Completed studies in electrical engineering; alternatively, an electrical engineering apprenticeship with corresponding further training
• Initial professional experience in technical procurement is an advantage
• Technical understanding, ideally in the fields of electronics, optoelectronics, mechanics, as well as manufacturing and development processes
• Confident handling of ERP/procurement systems and MS Office
• Analytical, structured, and independent working style, combined with negotiation skills, communication strength, and a high cost and quality awareness
• Confident demeanor towards suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Very good German and English skills (min. B2)
