Job summary

KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck, Germany, is seeking a motivated Technical Assistant (m/f/d) to join the Genome Editing (GenEd) Trait Discovery group at our global headquarters.

The role involves designing and executing protein-protein interaction experiments, cloning and transforming bacteria and plants, and preparing data for internal meetings. We offer a full-time position with a fixed-term contract until Sep 2027, along with flexible work hours, a pension plan, and various employee

Qualifications

• Completed training as BTA, ATA, LTA, bachelor’s or master’s degree in biochemistry or other comparable qualifications
• Experience with planta-based protein-protein interaction assay is a must have
• Knowledge of handling plant material and GH experiments is required
• Expertise in SDS-PAGE and western blotting methodologies will be considered a plus
• Experience with LIMS and ELN documentation
• High level of motivation and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory and German language skills will be beneficial

If you are passionate about advancing protein analytics in the field of agricultural sciences and have already acquired hands‑on experience in protein-protein interaction technologies, then you will be a perfect candidate to join our team.
