StackFuel GmbH in Berlin is seeking a Tech Lead AI DevOps / Infrastructure (f/m/d) to own and scale our cloud infrastructure during a major migration. You will lead a small DevOps team, drive security, reliability and cost controls, and implement IaC across Terraform, Kubernetes and Ansible.
In this role you will apply AI to day‑to‑day operations, define observability and runbooks, and partner with engineering to ship secure, scalable platforms from Berlin.
For years, StackFuel has been one of Germany’s leading providers of data and AI training. Since early 2026, we have been part of Multiverse, Europe’s only EdTech unicorn and the continent’s largest AI upskilling platform. Together, we are pursuing a clear goal: to make 100,000 employees in Germany AI-ready and close the country’s data and AI skills gap.
We’re at an exciting point right now: as a scale-up, we are migrating and consolidating our infrastructure from individual systems to a scalable cloud stack, while keeping everything running and without compromising on uptime or performance. To make this happen, we’re looking for a Tech Lead AI DevOps / Infrastructure (f/m/d) to take full ownership of our infrastructure: you’ll build it, scale it, and create the foundation our team can grow on. You’ll do this with a small DevOps team that you lead. In the long term, you and your team will ensure that our engineering teams can efficiently ship their products on secure, scalable infrastructure as part of an agentic SDLC.
This role is probably not the right fit if you’d rather lead than get hands‑on yourself. With a small team, you’re both Tech Lead and engineer, staying deeply involved in the system, the design, and the code. It’s also not a good fit if you expect a tidy environment with established processes: a lot of what we have has grown organically, and creating structure exactly there is a core part of your job. And if you see AI tools as a nice productivity extra rather than something that fundamentally changes how an entire team works, you probably won’t be happy here.
A solution-oriented, data‑driven way of working, an open feedback culture, and strong team spirit. Two Trustees, elected by the entire StackFuel team, act as a neutral, confidential point of contact for your questions and concerns.
Take on responsibility from day one, actively contribute your own ideas, shape processes sustainably, and have a real influence on how we work.
We work in a hybrid model and are usually in our Berlin office 3 days a week.
Work from anywhere in the EU, the EEA, and Turkey for up to 10 days per year.
Regular team exchanges, seasonal celebrations, and an always well‑stocked kitchen make for a lively atmosphere.
