Semco Maritime in Emden, Germany, is seeking a Team Lead for Materials Management to HEAD the Materials Management team servicing national and international offshore wind projects. You will combine technical and disciplinary leadership with deep knowledge of materials management, customs, ERP systems, and process optimization to drive efficiency and compliance.

Travel about 10 days per year; full-time role.

Your position

You are an experienced and strong people leader (f/m/d) looking to apply your in-depth knowledge of the global energy industry? Then we look forward to hearing from you.

In your new position as Team Lead (f/m/d), you will lead the Materials Management team, which is responsible for the efficient provision of materials and services to national and international offshore wind farm projects in compliance with legal and contractual requirements. You will assume both the technical and disciplinary leadership of the Materials Management team and contribute with your in-depth expertise in materials management, customs, ERP systems, process management, and project and organizational development.

Your place of work will be Emden, Lower Saxony, one of our largest locations. This is a full-time position. You can expect approximately 10 travel days per year as part of the role.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

As Team Lead (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of the Materials Management team.

Your Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Technical and disciplinary leadership, development, and motivation of the Materials Management team


• Management, planning, and continuous optimization of materials management and supply chain processes


• Ensuring legally compliant and efficient customs clearance for national and international offshore wind farm projects


• Responsibility for the effective use and further development of ERP systems, as well as the standardization of relevant business processes


• Leading and implementing projects relating to digitalization, process improvement, and the organizational development of the department


• Supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards in all activities

Your Profile & Qualifications

We are looking for an organized, service-oriented, and communicative person with initial or several years of leadership experience who approaches their responsibilities with passion. You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner and look forward to taking responsibility for a team and achieving success together.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• In-depth knowledge of materials management, supply chain management, customs and foreign trade law, as well as ERP and process management


• A completed degree or comparable commercial or technical qualification with a focus on logistics, supply chain management, or business administration


• Several years of professional experience in materials management or logistics, ideally in an offshore, energy, or project environment


• Experience in leading teams, project management, and the optimization and standardization of processes and ERP applications


• Fluent written and spoken English and German language skills


• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills combined with assertiveness


• Confident application of relevant health, safety, environmental, and compliance standards
