Semco Maritime is seeking an onshore Engineer in our Renewables division to support reliable operation of offshore wind projects. You will coordinate maintenance activities, perform hands-on problem solving, and serve as a central interface between offshore projects and internal teams.

The role supports safety culture, requires structured maintenance coordination, and involves working with internal stakeholders to keep operations efficient and compliant.

Qualifikationen

• University degree or equivalent in electrical/mechanical field.
• Experience in maintenance, technical service or troubleshooting in industrial environments.
• Ability to interpret technical data and operating logs.
• Offshore wind energy experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities; include work orders, job plans, resources, and documentation.
• Receive, analyze and prioritize fault reports; support remote troubleshooting for wind turbines and infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting across offshore teams, service providers, OEMs, and internal stakeholders.
• Track incidents and maintenance tasks to completion with visibility of priorities, risks, and dependencies.
• Prepare incident reports and root cause analyses; translate findings into follow-up actions.
• Coordinate spare parts, tools and equipment; support offshore campaigns.
• Support software rollouts; contribute to quality standards and reliable processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.

Your position

As onshore Engineer, Maintenance & Trouble Shooting (f/m/d) in our Renewables division, you will support the reliable operation of our offshore wind projects. You combine structured maintenance coordination with hands‑on technical problem solving and act as a central interface between offshore projects, internal services and other internal functions within the project.

Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.

Your place of work will be in Emden or Hamburg. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel 10% per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Planning and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including work orders, job plans, resources and technical documentation
• Receiving, analyzing and prioritizing fault reports and supporting remote troubleshooting for wind turbines and related infrastructure
• Coordinating maintenance and troubleshooting activities across offshore teams, service providers, OEMs and internal stakeholders
• Tracking incidents and maintenance tasks through to completion, keeping priorities, risks and dependencies visible
• Preparing incident reports and root cause analyses and translating findings into practical follow‑up actions
• Coordinating spare parts, tools and equipment and supporting the preparation of offshore campaigns
• Supporting software rollouts and contributing to quality standards, continuous improvement and reliable technical processes
• Ensuring that all activities comply with applicable health, safety and environmental requirements

Your Profile & Qualifications

We are looking for an Engineer (f/m/d) or alternatively a Project Coordinator who approaches technical issues analytically and pragmatically, stays organised when priorities change and communicates clearly with different stakeholders. You enjoy finding solutions while keeping the wider operational picture in mind.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• University degree, vocational training or technician/master craftsman qualification in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable energy or a comparable technical field
• Professional experience in maintenance, technical service, troubleshooting, operations support or a similar role in a complex industrial environment
• Sound technical understanding and the ability to interpret technical documentation, operating data, logs and error messages
• Experience in offshore wind energy, offshore operations, power generation, substations or comparable industries is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methods and a structured approach to fault analysis, ideally from the offshore wind industry
• Confident use of common Microsoft Office applications; experience with planning or maintenance systems is an advantage
• Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel occasionally and to work closely with colleagues at our operational locations
