Trust in SODA in Hamburg is seeking an experienced Backend Engineering Lead to guide a high-performing team and own core B2B platform services at scale. You will shape architecture, make key technical decisions with your team, and stay hands-on to write code and solve complex problems.

You’ll build and operate microservices, design secure, scalable systems, and partner with Product Management to align APIs and architecture across the platform.

Qualifikationen

• Proven leadership of engineering teams delivering backend services.
• Hands-on software development with modern backend stacks.
• Strong Kotlin and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of microservices, Kubernetes and production systems.
• Experience designing REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Kafka experience is a plus; interest in AI is desirable.

• Explore and drive AI-assisted development, including modern agentic AI approaches
• Help raise the engineering bar through better tooling, practices and ways of working

• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams
