Job summary

Quantum Systems seeks an Embedded Linux Team Lead to own and drive mission-critical platforms. You will lead an embedded Linux development team, shape technical direction, and ensure robust, high-quality implementations from concept to deployment.

You will collaborate with product management, hardware, and software engineers while coaching team members and steering long-term platform strategy. Fluency in English is essential; German skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or comparable qualification.
• Several years of embedded Linux development experience.
• Strong expertise in kernel, device trees, and driver development.
• Experience with build systems like Yocto or Buildroot.

To strengthen our software organization, we are looking for you as an Embedded Linux Team Lead who takes ownership of systems that make a real difference in the field. In this role, you provide technical and disciplinary leadership and shape the foundation of our mission-critical platforms.

Your work enables high-performance, robust, and reliable embedded systems designed to operate under demanding real-world conditions. You set technical direction, ensure long-term system stability, and guide complex embedded solutions from initial concept through to operational deployment.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Technical and disciplinary leadership of an embedded Linux development team

• Planning, coordination, and prioritization of development tasks and resources

• Technical ownership of embedded Linux platforms (BSP, kernel, drivers, user space)

• Close collaboration with product management, hardware development, and embedded software development

• Ensuring high code quality, architectural standards, and robust development processes

• Coaching, mentoring, and continuous development of team members

• Contribution to technology decisions and long-term strategic development

What you bring to the team:

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in embedded Linux development

• Strong expertise in:

  1. Linux kernel, device trees, and driver development

  2. Build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot

  3. C/C++ (ideally also shell scripting and Python)

• Experience in technical leadership or in a senior/lead engineer role

• Structured, solution-oriented working style

• Very good English skills (German language skills are a plus)
