Job summary

Louisenlund is seeking competent and committed IB World School teachers for Physics, Visual Arts and/or MYP Interdisciplinary Sciences. The roles are part-time possible and focus on personalized learning in a beautiful campus setting.

We value teachers with certification, a master's degree, and a passion for working with youth. You will collaborate with a team, participate in professional development, and may join the boarding community in a houseparent role on a voluntary basis.

• Master's degree is required.
• Passionate about the subject area and excited to work with young people.
• Willing to adapt to Louisenlund pedagogy and engage in professional development.

Job description

We’re looking to fill the following positions for our IB World School starting at the earliest possible date competent and committed teachers of Physics, Visual Arts and/or MYP Interdisciplinary Sciences to supplement the existing IB World School faculty (part-time possible).

You will have the opportunity to help young people develop as independent personalities, to cultivate their talents, and to strengthen their intellectual curiosity. Small courses of 5-18 students enable differentiated teaching and learning. Our idyllic natural setting and picturesque campus provide an ideal working environment for educators and learners. An innovative spirit and new ideas to help us continue to shape the Louisenlund pedagogy for the 21st century focusing on personalized learning are welcome.

Your profile:

• You have a teacher certification and/or experience working as a teacher (preferably in the IB Diploma Programme or Middle Years Programme).
• You have a master's degree.
• You are passionate about your subject area and enthusiastic about working together with young people.
• You are interested in working to shape Louisenlund pedagogy for the 21stcentury.
• You are willing to familiarize yourself with the unique pedagogical concept of Louisenlund and to take part in professional development workshops, as well as the school development process.
• Preferably, you can teach more than one subject.
• You speak and write English fluently and (preferably) have some knowledge of or competence in the German language.
