Qualifikationen

• Professional tax background with interest in capital markets.

• Be the subject matter expert for tax topics across our product range, focusing on Germany (Kapitalertragsteuer).
• Collaborate with Product, Operations and Growth to enable tax-aware product development.
• Own product tax topics for international markets to support growth beyond Germany.
• Drive tax changes from frontend to backend.
• Ensure compliance with local tax reporting for customers and authorities.
• Coordinate with external partners, including financial institutions, service providers and tax advisors.
• Analyze existing and upcoming tax laws and implement impacts on Trade Republic’s business.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• You will be the subject matter expert for tax topics that relate to the entire product range of Trade Republic: securities, crypto, current accounts, cards and more, with focus on Germany as the main tax jurisdictions (Kapitalertragsteuer).
• Work closely with our Product, Operations and Growth teams to enable the development of financial products and related tax topics.
• Own product tax topics for our international markets, supporting as a tax expert to enable our growth strategy beyond Germany.
• Drive tax changes, improvements and requirements: frontend to backend.
• Ensure compliance with local tax reporting requirements, for customers and tax authorities.
• Coordinate with our external partners, including financial institutions, service providers and tax advisors.
• Analyze existing and upcoming tax laws regarding their impact on Trade Republic’s existing and future business and take responsibility for necessary implementation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• You don't need to be a capital markets tax expert, we are looking for someone who has a professional tax background and is willing to deep dive into everything tax - with a passion for capital markets.
• Experience in the financial services / banking sector is a plus.
• Strong communicator with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, clearly articulate complex tax topics succinctly.
• German and English language skills are required (full professional proficiency).
