Zusammenfassung

OHB-System AG in Bremen seeks an embedded software engineer to provide specialist technical support for software systems on spacecraft platforms and payloads. You will verify outputs, participate in integration, and drive validation across subsystems and units.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering/Physics degree with hands-on satellite project experience, and demonstrates strong Python skills, MBSE know-how, and agile practices. English fluency is required, German a plus.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialist technical support for embedded software systems activities: review, verification of outputs, configuration control, and acceptance of software deliverables.
• Perform functional verification and validation at spacecraft, subsystem, and unit levels.
• Offer technical expertise in software system-related activities: integration, onboard software interactions, anomaly investigation support.
• Act as software technical focal point to system, AIT, PA, customer, and supplier teams.
• Participate in project reviews (asset).

Your Tasks

• Providing specialist technical support for embedded software systems activities, including review, verification of outputs, configuration control, and acceptance of software deliverables
• Functional verification and validation activities at spacecraft, subsystem, and unit levels
• Providing technical expertise in software system-related activities, including software integration, understanding and verification of onboard software interactions, and anomaly investigation support
• Acting as software technical focal point towards system, AIT, PA, customer, and supplier teams
• Participating in project reviews is an asset

Your Qualifications

• You hold a degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• You bring experience in satellite projects, ideally in subsystem or system engineering and phases C/D/E
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are proactive, and enjoy solving complex challenges
• You can work independently while coordinating effectively within a team
• You communicate confidently in English (written and spoken); German or other languages are a plus
• You are curious, solution-oriented, and eager to contribute to next-generation navigation systems
• A good understanding of modern software engineering methods and tools, including software verification and validation methods and tools, model-based system and software engineering, code generation principles and tools, and agile development approaches
• Experience in projects involving software development
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language
