Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching seeks a Systems Engineer Ground Mission System (d/f/m) to analyze avionics design and customer needs. You will shape mission data workflows, implement data extraction and validation, and contribute to software documentation and testing in a collaborative team.

Graduate with electronics/aeronautical focus, you bring knowledge of lifecycle processes, EW concepts, and UI principles. English fluent; German advantage.

Qualifications

• University or Master in Electronics or related field.
• Knowledge of systems/software engineering lifecycle.
• Experience with electronic warfare concepts and mission data.
• Familiarity with UI requirements/design principles.
• English command; German is a plus.

Job Description: In order to support Air Power Engineering, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Systems Engineer Ground Mission System (d/f/m).

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Analysis of avionics system design/requirements and customer requirements
• Definition and adaptation of design requirements to mission data generation and mission data verification software incl. workflow definition
• Further development of functions such as emitter data extraction from RF emitter database, mission data programming with data consistency checks for loading into airborne computers, and data buses processing function for mission data evaluation taking into account higher-level architectural goals and optimization in the case of necessary trade-offs
• Generate technical documentation, e.g., software requirements specification, software design, interface control document and software test plan/procedures, based on system/subsystem specification
• Develop automated executable test which address technical specification verification requirements
• Participation in and preparation of meetings with customer representatives as well as internal stakeholders
• Supporting the further development of the agile way of working as a team task

Desired skills and qualifications

University Engineering Degree or Master in Electronics, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent 1 - 3 years of relevant experience Knowledge of systems/software engineering lifecycle and experience in all phases of it Working knowledge of one of more of the following specialty areas related to self-defensive systems, radar system and electronic support system Knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles and interest in mission data for Electronic Warfare Support Knowledge of Web-based application software UI requirements and design principles. Familiarity with Atlassian software development and collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence) and version control (Git) will be a plus Working knowledge with engineering tools such as DOORS Good command of English, and German is an advantage Strong team player, independent working method and high quality awareness Not a 100% match?
