Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching seeks a Systems Engineer to support Eurofighter Mission Data Evaluation System. You will work on an agile team to validate mission data, integrate re-hosted and simulated components, and help design the overall system with strong customer collaboration.

The role requires a technical degree, 5+ years in the lifecycle of systems, and fluency in English and German. On-site facilities and international development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical domain.
• Knowledge of systems/software engineering lifecycle and a minimum 5 years of experience on all phases of it.
• Knowledge of defence avionics is required.
• Practical experience with re-hosting of embedded software is an advantage.
• Experience in simulations and modelling is desired.
• Experience with MaTE is a plus.
• Understanding of tools for project control (Jira, Confluence), requirements management (IBM DOORS), Python programming and version control (Git).
• Language skills: business fluent in English and German.

Job Description: In order to support Air Power Engineering, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Systems Engineer for Eurofighter Mission Data Evaluation System (d/f/m) We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our interdisciplinary field of Ground Support Systems. We are an international Team within the Platform Operational Support domain. We are responsible for developing and maintaining modern ground support systems for the Tornado, A400M and Eurofighter platforms at the Manching site in Germany. Our products enable the operation, development and evaluation of mission data of aircraft in the context of electronic warfare, self-protection and sensor data fusion. The job holder will become part of an agile team developing a state-of-the-art mission data validation environment for Eurofighter Electronic Warfare. The basis consists of a partial replica of the Eurofighter Avionics system, with "re-hosting" of the original aircraft software, in combination with software models.

Your tasks and responsibilities
