Job summary

OHB SE is seeking a lead Systems Engineer to guide teams across satellite programs from design through testing and delivery. You will own system requirements, verification strategies, and act as the primary technical interface to project management and customers.

You bring a Master’s degree in engineering or related field and at least five years of leadership in space programs, with strong telecom satellite expertise and end-to-end SE experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Aerospace.
• 5+ years of experience in space programs as System/Technical Lead.
• Strong background in telecommunication satellite systems.
• End-to-end systems engineering from mission definition to AIV/AIT.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Systems Engineers across project phases B1–D.
• Define, manage, and challenge system requirements and verification approaches.
• Act as main technical interface to project management and customers.
• Evaluate system design maturity and perform independent technical assessments.
• Establish and drive systems engineering processes across SE, ENG, AIT, PA/QA, SCM.
• Ensure technical coherence, information flow, and regular project checkpoints.
• Support risk assessment, cost control, and system-level budget planning.
• Collaborate closely with telecom payload and satellite engineering teams.
• Contribute to telecom system studies and platform cost optimization.

You lead the systems engineering activities of complex telecommunication satellite programs across all project phases (B1–B2/C/D). You guide systems engineers, own system requirements and verification strategies, and act as the key technical interface to project management and customers.

• Confident in challenging technical baselines and driving corrective actions
