Job summary

NAXCON GmbH, headquartered in Weil am Rhein with offices including Stuttgart, seeks a Systems Architect (m/f/x) to lead IT architecture across production and manufacturing machines. You will shape system standards, guide Agile teams, and drive innovative IT solutions in the semiconductor field.

Based in Oberkochen, Germany, you’ll collaborate with engineers and business users to ensure scalable, robust IT landscapes and cutting-edge technology adoption, including AI-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/EE/Physics or equivalent.
• Several years of software or automation project experience (both traditional and agile).
• Very good German and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Design system architecture of IT landscape, primarily in Microsoft environment, using Angular and Docker.
• Make design decisions aligned with target architecture and provide well-founded recommendations.
• Serve as liaison between business users, demand and project management, and software development in an interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluate requirements from multiple perspectives to align with long-term IT strategy and target architecture.
• Present solutions effectively and persuade others of proposals.
• Support development teams, conduct architecture reviews, and define standards for architecture processes.

Tasks

• In the development of DUV and EUV technology within the production and mechanical engineering context of our complex measurement and manufacturing machines, design the system architecture of the IT landscape and help shape standards for all systems, primarily in the Microsoft environment and using modern technologies such as Angular and Docker
• Make design decisions while taking the target architecture into account, or actively influence decisions through well-founded recommendations
• In our agile software/hardware development environment, act as a liaison between business users, demand and project management, and software development, and make the most of your strong communication skills within an interdisciplinary team
• Examine requirements from various perspectives to identify viable solutions that align with the long-term IT strategy and target architecture, as well as to discover creative solutions
• You will present these solutions effectively and convince others of your proposals
• Support and advise the development teams in implementing projects, conduct architecture reviews, define standards and procedures for architecture processes, and support the Architecture Chapter

Requirements

• A successfully completed degree in (Business) Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in the development of complex software or automation projects, using both traditional and agile methodologies
• Ideally, in-depth knowledge of UML and the use of Sparx Enterprise Architect, iSQI® certification (iSAQB® CPSA), or equivalent
• You take initiative and are reliable, flexible, and able to work under pressure
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
