Job summary

OHB System AG in Oberpfaffenhofen (near Munich) seeks a Requirements and V&V Engineer to drive requirements engineering and verification activities across projects. You will manage traceability, coordinate data exchange with customers and suppliers, and develop system and product requirement specifications within a highly regulated space environment.

The role requires a degree in aerospace/systems/engineering, several years in RE/V&V, and strong English communication.

Requirements and V&V Engineer Instruments (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Act as the project's focal point for Requirements Engineering and Validation & Verification (V&V) activities towards customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Monitor and manage the flow-down, allocation, and end-to-end traceability of technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate and manage requirements-related data exchange with customers and suppliers
• Generate, review, and maintain system and product requirements specifications
• Define, develop, and maintain the Validation & Verification Plan and Verification Control Document (VCD)
• Organize, prepare, and participate in Verification Control Boards (VCBs) and other technical review meetings
• Manage the creation, review, approval, and release of test specifications and associated verification documentation
• Plan, coordinate, and track verification activities within the requirements management database/tool environment
• Ensure verification evidence is complete, traceable, and compliant with project, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Actively participate in project meetings, including progress reviews, design reviews, customer meetings, and project milestone reviews

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical
• Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Several years of professional experience in Requirements Engineering, Systems Engineering, Validation & Verification (V&V), or a comparable engineering role
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements management processes, and V&V
• Practical experience with IBM DOORS and/or Siemens Polarion ALM
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and spoken English skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams and interfacing with customers and suppliers
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, automotive, railway, medical devices, or similar sectors
• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools
• Understanding of systems integration and system-level testing activities
• Working knowledge of space engineering standards (ECSS)
