Responsibilities

• Monitor, configure and maintain Windows Server operating systems and hardware in the data centre environment (HP, Cisco UCS).
• Support and optimise central Windows services (e.g. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL Server, IIS) and process second‑level service requests.
• Further develop cloud and high‑availability solutions and implement systems in private and public cloud environments.
• Create performance analyses, perform error analyses and troubleshooting, and derive optimisations for operating systems, hardware and processes.
• Ensure 24/7 operation of the production systems, plan and document server resources, and support cross‑departmental projects.

Qualifications

• Completed training in the IT field (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or a degree (computer science, business informatics) and at least five years of experience in operating 24/7 production systems.
• In‑depth knowledge of the administration of Windows Server operating systems (AD, GPO, DHCP, DNS, file and print services), WSUS and Windows clients.
• Experience in the configuration, installation and support of virtualised infrastructures (e.g. VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V, cluster and cloud solutions). Knowledge of the Cisco network environment and certificates such as MCSA, MCSE or MCITP are desirable.
• Motivated team player, works independently and proactively, keeps a cool head even in stressful situations and contributes to operational reliability.
• Communicates confidently in German and English (at least B2 level) and actively engages in collaboration with international colleagues.
