You will work for Annax, a Wabtec site specialized in passenger information systems for long and short distance trains, trams and subways.

How will you make a difference?

System Project Engineer is a hybrid role encompassing both tech knowhow and technical leadership, a technical project manager is instrumental in the planning, scheduling, and management of embedded system projects.

What will your typical day look like?

• Design and engineering of Passenger Information Systems or Video Protection Systems, including the creation of relevant documentation.
• Technical project management from the bid phase to commissioning support.
• Project coordination with the commercial project manager and the customer.
• Internal coordination with hardware and software development, system integration, and testing teams.
• Coordination with key suppliers.
• Managing the project’s budget.
• Providing bid and presales support.
• Occasional travel within Germany, France, and internationally.

What do we want to know from you?

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in embedded systems, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded systems.
• Experience in hardware and/or software development.
• Knowledge of embedded hardware architectures and digital electronics.
• Familiarity with the embedded Linux environment.
• Understanding of IP/Ethernet networks.
• Fluency in English (proficiency in German and/or French is considered an asset).
• Experience in the rail industry is considered an asset.
• Experience as a project manager is considered an asset.
• Self-motivated and independent personality.
• Availability to travel.
