Samsung SDS Europe is seeking a System Administrator (Web Hosting) in Eschborn to manage Linux and Windows servers, install web applications, and support customers across an international environment.

You will monitor performance, ensure security, automate deployments with Docker and Ansible, and maintain documentation while delivering timely incident responses.

Qualifikationen

• Completed studies in computer science or equivalent qualification.
• 7–10 years of professional system administration experience.
• Experience in an international, multicultural company.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or OCI.
• Very good knowledge of at least one OS: RHEL or Windows Server, Docker or Ansible.
• Solid administration knowledge in MSSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle DB.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere and shared storage.
• Knowledge of DNS, LDAP, AD and Remote Services and SSH.
• Experience in automation and scripting.
• Efficient troubleshooting skills.
• Good networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, DNS, firewall.
• Good English; German desirable.
• Team player with structured work style.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration of Linux and MS Windows based servers & services


• Installation and setup of web applications and database servers


• Setting up customer applications


• 1st, 2nd & 3rd level support for customer servers, web applications, databases


• Monitoring, analysis and reporting of performance and volume of the server infrastructure


• Experience with web stack technologies (HTTP, web servers, reverse proxy, load balancing)


• Strong understanding of OS-level security (Linux/Windows)


• Setup and administration of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases


• Build, Manage, and optimize containerized environment using Docker


• Automate configuration management, deployment, and orchestration using Ansible

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification


• Several years of professional experience as a system administrator (7-10 years)


• Ability to work in an international, multicultural company


• Good experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, MS Azure or Google Cloud or OCI -


• Very good knowledge of at least one of the following operating systems: RHEL, MS Windows Server, Docker and Ansible


• Solid administration knowledge in at least one of the following: MSSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB


• Good knowledge of VMware vSphere and shared storage


• Knowledge of DNS, LDAP, AD and Remote Services and SSH


• Experience in automation and scripting


• Efficient troubleshooting skills


• Good understanding of network fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, DNS, firewall)


• Good language skills in English (spoken and written), German desirable.
