We are looking for a System Administrator to help drive the development and optimization of our osapiens HUB. In this role, you will help to manage and enhance our infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure our platform's reliability, scalability, and security.

We are looking for a System Administrator to help drive the development and optimization of our osapiens HUB. In this role, you will help to manage and enhance our infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure our platform's reliability, scalability, and security.

The osapiens HUB is a cloud-based platform that helps businesses manage their sustainability, compliance, and transparency efforts more easily. The HUB offers ready-made software solutions that automate compliance with environmental and social regulations, helping businesses track and improve sustainability with minimal manual effort. It’s user-friendly, adaptable, and optimizes existing resources.

Think of it as an all-in-one toolkit for businesses looking to operate more sustainably while keeping up with legal requirements without getting bogged down in technical or administrative hassles.

This role is based in Mannheim, a vibrant tech hub at the heart of Germany, where you'll collaborate with a talented, forward-thinking team. We embrace a hybrid work model, with three days a week in the office, ensuring the perfect balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize Linux (Ubuntu) server environments across both public and private clouds
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems supporting internal tools and customer-facing platforms
• Proactively monitor and manage production environments, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance and security improvements
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, Bash
• Contribute to the evolution of infrastructure architecture and support the onboarding of new technologies
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior team members
  
  

Your Experience

• Completed vocational training or degree in IT (e.g., Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration, Computer Science), or equivalent professional experience
• Several years of professional, hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems in production environments (Ubuntu preferred)
• Solid experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
• Strong understanding of system monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, etc.
• Good grasp of networking fundamentals, including routing, DNS, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing
• Scripting experience with Bash or Ansible for automation and operational tasks
• Self-motivated, structured, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment
