Airbus Operations GmbH in Bremen is offering a Surface Technology internship in the Paints & Coatings team. You will support the Engineering Surface Technology group as part of the Materials, Processes, and Test Department for a 3-month internship starting as soon as possible.

The role is based in Bremen, involving a 35-hour work week with a fixed gross salary of €750 per month. Ideal candidates are current students in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related fields with interest in corrosion

Qualifikationen

• Education: Currently enrolled student in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Paint Engineering, or related discipline.
• Interest in surface technology, corrosion, paints and coatings, and corrosion inhibition.
• Experience in analytical evaluation and corrosion assessment of organic coatings is a plus.
• Strong communication and analytical skills are mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-location, international team.
• Negotiation-level English is required.

Aufgaben

• Support the overall research and development of a sustainable, next-generation paint system.
• Research and development of EHS compliant primer and paint systems.
• Support research on inhibition concepts for paint systems and their corrosion protection.
• Evaluate the technical performance of product proposals by defining test programs, executing testing, and preparing technical reports.
• Conduct analytical investigations regarding the physical and chemical properties of various coatings.

We look forward to you supporting us in Surface Technology and Fire Safety Department as an intern (d/f/m)!

• Location: Bremen, Germany
• Start: as soon as possible
• Duration: 3 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Airbus Engineering for a student to join the Surface Technology team in the Materials, Processes, and Test Department for an internship. As a member of the research projects dealing with the development of the latest paint technologies, you will join a team of highly motivated and dedicated professionals. Together, you will develop and deploy new benchmark-applied chemistry in the field of chromate-free paint and coating development, helping shape the future of sustainable aviation.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Languages: Negotiation-level English is required.
