Airbus Defence and Space GmbH offers an internship in Space-Software Unit Testing & Migration (d/f/m) at the Immenstaad/Friedrichshafen site. You will migrate unit tests from VectorCAST to Unity/CMock and validate them in a modern development environment.

Join an international team, work with embedded C, and explore AI-assisted test generation. Start 01.12.2026 for 6 months and contribute to high-quality software for space systems.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled full-time student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Good knowledge of the C programming language, ideally in an embedded environment.
• Prior experience with unit testing frameworks such as Unity, Cmock, Google Test is advantageous.
• Interest in modern development tools and the use of artificial intelligence in software engineering.

Aufgaben

• You will manually migrate existing unit tests from VectorCAST to the modern framework Unity/CMock.
• You will be responsible for executing and validating the migrated unit tests in our development environment.
• You will analyze the migrated tests and implement targeted improvements to increase test quality and efficiency.
• You will explore the use of AI agents to automatically create and implement new unit tests with Unity/CMock.
• At the end of your internship, you will create a detailed internship report summarizing your results and best practices.

Job Description

In order to support the Space Systems On-Board Software, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Intern in Space-Software Unit Testing & Migration (d/f/m). Are you looking for an internship and want to get to know the work of a Satellite Software Engineer (d/f/m)? • Good knowledge of the C programming language (ideally in an embedded environment).


• Prior experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Unity, Cmock, Google Test) is advantageous.


• Interest in modern development tools and the use of artificial intelligence in software engineering.


• A structured work style and the ability to quickly grasp complex relationships.


• Fluent in German or English.
