EuroChem Agro GmbH in Mannheim is seeking a Supply & Operations Planning Manager who partners with production and regional Sales to manage demand planning, supply balancing and scenario development for a defined product group or site in Europe.

You will own the S&OP cycle, integrate commercial priorities, monitor inventory and shipments, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes with a hands-on, collaborative mindset.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in supply chain planning is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and commercial thinking with ability to balance trade-offs.
• Structured, proactive and hands-on approach in dynamic environments.
• Very good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High IT affinity; strong Excel skills; experience with S&OP planning tools is a plus.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are beneficial.

Job Description

The Supply & Operations Planning Manager is a central integrator between the production site and the regional and local Sales organizations. As part of the regional team in Mannheim, you take full responsibility for demand planning, supply balancing, and commercial scenario development for a defined product group and/or a specific production site in Europe.

We are looking for a committed and experienced:

Supply & Operations Planning Manager (m/w/d)

Your Key Responsibilities in detail:

Lead S&OP Planning for a Defined Product Portfolio or Production Site

• Own the end-to-end S&OP planning cycle for your assigned products/sites, ensuring a robust, transparent and efficient planning process while balancing the interdependencies of continuous fertilizer production, customer service, production stability, logistics constraints, working capital and financial performance
• Integrate commercial priorities into the planning process by evaluating business opportunities, optimizing contribution margins, prioritizing markets and ensuring the optimal deployment of constrained production capacities
• Facilitate commercial decision-making in close collaboration with the Commercial Lead (responsible for the production site or the European commercial organization)

Commercial & Operational Planning

• Validate demand forecasts, evaluate commercial opportunities, identify supply gaps or surpluses and align production capabilities with Sales Managers and the Commercial Lead
• Allocation & prioritization: Define & adjust product allocations and market priorities (planned product volume/ price-positions) in close collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain Execution to establish delivery commitments and operational priorities
• Support working capital optimization by incorporating Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle-time considerations into planning decisions using sales input and historical performance data

Inventory, Production & Shipment Monitoring

• Tracking regional inventory targets to balance service levels, production stability and capital efficiency
• Monitor the Production-Shipment Plan (actual vs. planned performance), identify deviations early and initiate necessary corrective actions, such as accelerated delivery or reallocation of volumes

Your Qualification:

• Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or comparable field
• 2 to 5 years professional work experience in Supply Chain Planning would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and commercial thinking skills; ability to balance trade-offs and drive decisions
