CHEP is seeking a Planning Manager DACH to lead our planning team and drive critical planning processes for the DACH region. You will shape the future of our supply chain by turning complexity into actionable results across inbound, outbound, and relocation activities.

The role requires a university degree and 3–5 years in supply chain planning, with 1–2 years in project management ideal. Fluent English and German are essential; hybrid working is offered with a competitive package.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in Supply Chain Planning or similar role in operations, facility engineering, supply chain or logistics.
• 1–2 years in Project Management would be helpful.
• Fluent English and German are a must; Spanish or other European language is a plus.

• Implement plant-level safety stock policies to balance inventory and maximize plant capacities.
• Oversee short- and mid-term optimization of inbound, outbound, and relocation logistics for cost-to-serve.
• Collaborate with transportation and logistics teams to move stock efficiently from origin to destination.
• Ensure financial and compliance goals align with the strategic supply chain plan.
• Partner with logistics and transportation teams to meet inventory and service objectives.
• Manage pool balancing by relocating surplus to deficit markets across regions.
• Monitor KPIs and report results to supply chain leadership weekly, monthly and quarterly.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain focusing on efficiency and cost reduction.

Your mission:

• Implement and manage plant-level safety stock policies to maintain a balanced inventory of all stock types and maximize plant capacities.
• Oversee short- and mid-term optimization of inbound, outbound, and relocation logistics to achieve the best possible cost to serve while ensuring efficient operations.
• Collaborate with transportation and logistics teams to move stock efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring the right inventory mix is maintained.
• Ensure financial and compliance goals are aligned with the strategic supply chain plan, communicating frameworks to execution teams.
• Partner with logistics and transportation teams to ensure cost-effective fulfilment while meeting inventory and customer service objectives.
• Manage pool balancing initiatives by relocating surplus stock to deficit markets, optimizing stock positioning across regions.
• Monitor and report key performance metrics, presenting results to supply chain leadership teams on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and operational excellence.

Your skillset and experience:

• University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in Supply Chain Planning or similar role in operations, facility engineering, supply chain or logistics
• 1-2 years in Project Management would be helpful
• Fluent English and German are a must, Spanish or any European Language is a nice to have
• Understanding of industry tools e.g. BlueYonder/ Manugistics, i2, Red Prairie, Manhattan Assoc
• Familiarity with BlueYonder, SAP, BW, computer basics (Office, Excel, Access...)
• Exceptional technical & communication skills
• Lean/Six sigma, M/soft, SAP, SQL would be an advantage
• Experience of interacting effectively with Management cross-functionally
• Demonstrated ability to drive solutions at all levels of an organization
• Demonstrated outstanding project management skills
• Demonstrated track record of obtaining results and driving solutions
• Autonomous, self-initiative and results driven
