Supply Chain & HSE Specialist DACH (m/f/d)
To strengthen our Warehouse & Distribution team, we are currently looking for a Supply Chain & HSE Specialist DACH (m/f/d). You will be entrusted with supporting and managing a variety of tasks within the warehouse and distribution team. The position is based in Freiburg im Breisgau. Due to a parental leave replacement, the position is initially limited to 15 months.
A typical workday in this role includes:
- Logistical support, maintenance and analysis of logistics and accounting data, including invoice verification and accounting for warehouse and freight costs; preparation of reports on KPIs and complaints
- Support for ophthalmic device logistics through close coordination with the field force, technical service, and transport companies, as well as participation in process improvement projects
- Coordination with customer service, suppliers, and service providers, organization of special transports and handling of complaints, support with customs clearance
- Optimization of logistics processes by simplifying workflows, increasing efficiency, and introducing innovative solutions in collaboration with service providers
- Coordination of all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities at our German sites – from occupational safety and environmental management to compliance with legal regulations
What you'll bring to Alcon:
- Completed university degree in a scientific or business-related field
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Experience working with service providers and confident communication in collaborative settings
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in a logistics environment
- Knowledge of business processes, preferably in the medical device industry, as well as hands‑on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Understanding of supply chain processes with a focus on warehousing and distribution, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
