Supply Chain Analyst & Spare Parts Planner

Harvey Nash is looking for a Spare Parts Planner & Supply Chain Analyst to support global field service operations by ensuring the right spare parts are available at the right time and in the right quantities. The role combines material planning, supply chain analysis, forecasting, reporting, and process improvement within an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Material Planning & Inventory Management
- Plan and manage spare parts replenishment for warehouses and service locations.
- Monitor material availability and proactively identify and resolve shortages.
- Coordinate urgent material requirements and allocations.
- Track shipments and maintain accurate delivery timelines and ETAs.
- Support optimal inventory and stock level management.
Forecasting & Supply Chain Analytics
- Prepare and maintain monthly spare parts forecasts based on historical demand, inventory movements, scrap, and other relevant planning parameters.
- Analyse supply and demand data to identify risks, shortages, and critical materials.
- Validate data across different systems and investigate inconsistencies.
- Provide analytical insights related to inventory levels, critical items, and cost development.
- Support data-driven decision-making across supply chain operations.
Reporting & Power BI
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and management reports covering supply, demand, inventory, budget, critical items, and service performance.
- Improve data visualization and reporting quality.
- Automate reporting and dashboard refresh processes where possible.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting data.
- Prepare regular analyses and communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Process & System Improvement
- Support new product introduction processes, including item setup and data validation.
- Contribute to the improvement and automation of planning and reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and data quality.
- Work with cross-functional teams across Production, Procurement, Sales, Engineering, Suppliers, and Service to ensure smooth end-to-end processes.
Qualifications
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a comparable field.
- Previous experience in material planning, supply planning, demand planning, inventory management, or spare parts planning.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Practical experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and data visualization.
- Experience with ERP, MRP, or supply chain planning systems is an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, industrial equipment, or a similar technical environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
- Structured, analytical, and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international environment.
- Fluent English is required; German language skills are an advantage.
