Qualificações

• Support equipment start-up, technical transfers, validation projects and new product introductions.
• Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement while ensuring GMP compliance.
• Lead investigations related to deviations, quality issues and safety incidents.

Terumo’s Pharmaceutical Solutions Division (PSD)operatesas a CDMO at theChemparkin Leverkusen, supporting the end-to-end manufacturing of pharmaceutical and biological drug products in a highly regulated GMP environment.

Within this dynamic setting, we are looking for a Supervisor to join our Formulation, VisualInspectionand Fill & Finish team . The team prepares drug product formulations, performs visual inspectionactivitiesand helps ensure high-quality production that supports patient care.

This hands-on, shift-based production environment combines strong shopfloor presence with close cross-functional collaboration and increasing interaction with international stakeholders.

As operations continue to evolve, this role offers the opportunity to help build,shapeand furtheroptimizeactivities within an expanding team.

Job summary

As aSupervisor, you areleading formulation and visual inspection activities within a GMP-regulated production environment, combining operational oversight withpeopleleadership. The role focuses on building and developing a growing team, ensuring quality and performance while contributing to the evolution of the department. This is a hands-on, shift-based role requiring flexibility,ownershipand a strong team-oriented mindset.

Job responsibilities

Lead daily formulation and visual inspection operations in line with production requirements, qualitystandardsand customer expectations

Manage,coachand develop a growing team of operators and shift leaders, currently around 6-8 direct reports, with further team growth expected

You coordinate production activities, shiftprioritiesand resource allocation to ensure efficient execution

Act as the key point of contact between production, technicalteamsand other cross-functional stakeholders

Support equipment start-up activities, technical transfers, validationprojectsand the introduction of new products

Youmonitoroperational KPIs and implement actions to improve efficiency, teamperformanceand operational excellence

Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, environmental and quality standards

Lead investigations related to deviations, quality issues and safety incidents while promoting a culture of collaboration,accountabilityand continuous learning

A degree in a scientific discipline, chemical engineering or equivalent experience providesa strong foundationfor success in this role

Experience within pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing is important, ideally within a Fill & Finish or CDMO environment

Whether you already have leadership experience or are ready to take the next step, you know how to motivate,coachand develop others

Knowledge of Fill & Finish processes, including formulation, visual inspection and aseptic manufacturing, is considered a strong asset

You are comfortable working within GMP-regulated environments and understand the importance of documentation quality and compliance

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus

A structured mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities help you thrive in a dynamic production environment

Fluency in both German and English is essential for team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
