Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for cruise ship electrical systems including power generation/distribution (HV/LV), automation, navigation, propulsion, and hotel services
- Lead technical projects during dry-dock and in-service periods
- Manage the assigned budget, including procurement and inventory of spare parts
- Supervise and mentor Chief Electrical Officers and technicians, fostering continuous improvement
- Conduct technical inspections and report monthly vessel status
- Provide technical assistance during incidents or system failures, ensuring rapid and effective resolution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electric/Electronic engineering or any related field. Master’s degree is a plus
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the maritime sector
- Deep knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and technical standards
- Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Strong service and results orientation, with a proactive focus on safety
- Demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to mentor and inspire diverse teams in a multicultural setting
- A collaborative and approachable mindset is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
