Skyborn Renewables in Hamburg is seeking a Substation Engineer to lead offshore and onshore substation design from concept to handover. You will define tender requirements and coordinate interfaces across engineering, certification and construction teams.

Ideal candidates have several years in substation design, strong LV/HV knowledge, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. English fluency is essential, with international travel during construction and commissioning expected.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in substation electrical systems design.
• Experience with LV/HV systems and relevant industry standards.
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally during construction and commissioning.

• Review and approve designs and vendor documentation, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
• Lead design reviews and risk assessments, including HAZID and HAZOP, and resolve technical issues.
• Support procurement, FATs, construction, commissioning, and on-site supervision.
• Ensure timely delivery of compliant as-built documentation and a smooth handover to operations and maintenance teams.

Your profile:

• Willingness to travel internationally during construction and commissioning phases.
