Zusammenfassung

OHB System AG in Bremen seeks a Subproject Manager (m/f/d) to coordinate a sub-project across project leaders, clients, suppliers and internal teams. You will define technical requirements and oversee schedule, cost, quality and risk with strong leadership.

You will manage resources in collaboration with HR and department heads, guide the project team, run regular meetings and ensure high performance. Travel will be required and a structured onboarding is offered.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• Several years of project management experience in space projects.
• Familiar with IPMA C, V‑Model and Scrum methods.
• Proficient with MS Project and resource planning tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Your Tasks

• Act as the central interface for the sub‑project towards the project manager, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal business/unit leads, ensuring close coordination with project leadership
• Support the definition of technical requirements and manage planning, execution, and monitoring of the sub‑project in terms of schedule, cost, quality, and risk
• Take responsibility for accurate resource and capacity planning in cooperation with departments, team leads, and HR, including maintenance of relevant planning tools
• Build, guide, and develop the project team; define team structure, coordinate tasks, lead regular project meetings, and resolve conflicts effectively
• Ensure smooth collaboration with internal interfaces and subcontractor management, conduct work‑package‑based progress reviews, and monitor technical performance
• Provide regular reporting to stakeholders, identify and mitigate operational and technical project risks, and contribute to proposal preparation and future project acquisition

Your Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., aerospace engineering) or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of experience as a project manager or in a related technical role within space projects, with strong expertise in key system engineering areas and familiarity with relevant project management methods (e.g., IPMA C, V‑Model, Scrum)
• Proficiency in project‑management tools (e.g., MS Project, resource planning) and solid commercial understanding of schedule, budget, and quality requirements
• Excellent analytical, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills; high degree of cooperation, empathy, assertiveness, and a well‑structured working style
• Confident, diplomatic, and credible professional presence with integrity, reliability, strong networking abilities, and the ability to transfer technical knowledge effectively
• Leadership experience in technical teams, strong strategic and customer‑oriented mindset (“helicopter view”), high results‑and cost‑orientation, and willingness to travel regularly
