University of Europe for Applied Sciences is seeking a dedicated Student Hub Advisor in Hamburg to join our UE Services - Student Hub Team on a full-time role (40 hours/week). You will assist bachelor's and master's students with study-related questions and connect them to the appropriate support services.

You will engage with students in person and across systems, help organise events and clubs, and contribute to a welcoming campus community that supports student success and retention.

Aufgaben

• Provide excellent and effective service to students in a timely manner
• Respond to a wide variety of enquiries via different systems and in person
• Organize student events & support student clubs to increase student engagement & sense of belonging
• Outreach to students who have been identified by faculty or staff as being at risk of dropping out of UE and offer appropriate and relevant support to address their need(s). They will refer students to the relevant support based on their needs
• Help identify the student's issues or needs and refer them to the appropriate support service
• Keep up-to-date information about support services on campus to be able to refer students to these supports as needed
• Oversee & support peer mentor program, including helping to train student mentors
• Share suggestions for improvements to the campus/learning environment with the responsible department

We are looking for a new colleague to join our UE Services - Student Hub Team in Hamburg on a full-time basis /40 hour a week as soon as possible, who shares our vision of excellence in education and who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our students and staff.

The opportunity:

The Student Hub Advisor supports students during their Bachelor's or Master's degree studies by providing them with needed advice and support to successfully complete their degree program. The UE Student Hub Centre is the heart of operational services and the main contact point for students' questions concerning study-related topics or support needs: i.e. how do I apply for Bafög, how does health insurance work with health insurance, who should I talk to about -semester abroad -finding an internship - retake exams? where can I find an internship? I failed an exam, when can I retake it, how do I apply for a semester break? and much more.
