Zusammenfassung

Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft's HHI institute in Berlin invites applications for a Student Assistant position focusing on Quantum Sensing using a QOCT system. You will contribute to performance analyses, simulations, and experimental work across QOCT projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a world-leading research environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled full-time in Germany, with experience in Python/MATLAB and a solid base in quantum optics and interferometry.

Qualifikationen

  • Enrollment in a full-time degree program at a German university, preferably in physics, engineering physics, optics, photonics, or quantum communication.
  • First experiences with algorithm development, preferably using Python or MATLAB.
  • Good to very good grades; basic understanding of Quantum Optics and Interferometry.

Aufgaben

  • Performance analysis and characterization of quantum interferometer systems
  • Modeling and simulation of Quantum Optical Coherence Tomography (QOCT) systems
  • Experimental design, implementation, and validation
  • Optimization and performance benchmarking of QOCT systems
  • Signal processing, image reconstruction, and data analysis for OCT/QOCT systems
  • Documentation interpretation, and dissemination of simulation and experimental results

What you contribute

  • Some one already in berlin or ready to move to berlin

The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.

The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
