Zusammenfassung

The Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich, Germany, invites applications for a Student Assistant Position (m/f/d) in the PERGAP Project for Media & Communication, offering up to 8 hours per week.

You will support and help grow the group's digital presence and science communication, including curating content for the project website and assisting with social media and monitoring new research in social policy and economic inequality.

Qualifikationen

  • Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in a social science-related discipline at a German university (preferably in Munich), with above-average academic achievements
  • Familiarity with science communication (via social media) and digital tools, such as content management systems (e.g. WordPress), is welcome
  • A willingness to learn tools for tracking new research (e.g. alerts or content databases)
  • Experience with programming (Python/R) or research APIs is an added plus
  • Reliable and detail-oriented, able to work both independently and in a team
  • Good command of English; additional languages are a plus
  • A friendly, international, and diverse research environment
  • Insights into a large European research project
  • Hands-on experience in science communication and research curation
  • Excellent research facilities in the heart of Munich

As a student assistant, you will support and help grow the PERGAP group's digital presence and science communication. This includes identifying and curating relevant content to be featured on the project's website , supporting the group's social media, and helping track new work in the fields of social policy, institutions, economic inequality, and public opinion.
