Aareon in Mainz offers a structured dual study program in Business Information Systems (B.Sc.). Starting August 1, 2026, you will combine hands-on IT training with university studies, gaining insights into digitalizing business processes and contributing to real projects within the company.

Rotations through Group IT Services, Software Development, and Support provide broad exposure, with mentoring from experienced professionals and access to modern tools.

Qualifications

• Abitur or Fachabitur or equivalent school-leaving certificate.
• Strong interest in computer science, digital technologies, and business processes.
• Initial experience with programming languages or IT systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex challenges.
• Solid mathematical skills to handle logical and technical aspects of computer science.
• Team-oriented mindset and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• High motivation to continuously expand knowledge in IT and business topics.
• Good German and English language skills, including the ability to work with English-language documentation and literature.

Responsibilities

Program Structure

Your integrated dual study program, starting August 1, 2026, consists of the following three components:

• Vocational Training (IT Specialist (m/f/d) focusing on System Integration)
• Dual Study Program (Business Information Systems)
• Practical Experience within the Company

• Completed A‑levels (Abitur), University of Applied Sciences entrance qualification (Fachabitur), or an equivalent school‑leaving certificate
• Strong interest in computer science, digital technologies, and business processes
• Initial experience with programming languages or IT systems is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex challenges
• Solid mathematical skills to handle the logical and technical aspects of computer science
• Team‑oriented mindset and the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Strong organizational skills, enabling you to balance academic studies and vocational training effectively, even during demanding periods
• High motivation to continuously expand your knowledge in both IT and business‑related topics
• Good German and English language skills, including the ability to work with English‑language technical documentation and literature
