Job description

Your Mission:

Join the Pinnacle of Satellite Technology Advancement in Germany!

Reflex Aerospace is at the forefront of propelling high-performance satellite technology to new heights within the German aerospace landscape.

As part of Reflex Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the space industry's future. This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise and enthusiasm to a team that stands for innovation and excellence.

As Structural Analyst – Satellite Missions, you will ensure the structural integrity and mechanical performance of our satellite platforms. You will work closely with mechanical design, systems, and test engineering teams to develop and validate structural models, perform dynamic loads analyses, define and support mechanical testing, and optimize spacecraft structures for minimum mass and maximum performance.

Your Background:
  • You hold a university degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • You bring at least 3 years of experience in structural analysis, particularly static, modal, sine, and random vibration analyses.
  • You are proficient with HyperMesh and OptiStruct for FEM modeling, meshing, simulation, model validation, and post-processing.
  • You have experience with Craig-Bampton reduction, superelements, and coupled-load analyses.
  • You have a strong foundation in analytical methods and hand calculations, covering structural mechanics, dynamics, vibrations, and verification of simulation results.
  • You have strong Python skills for analysis automation, data processing, and engineering tool development.
  • You have experience defining mechanical test specifications, deriving qualification environments, and supporting vibration testing and test-analysis correlation.
  • You are familiar with ECSS and NASA structural standards, load paths, failure mechanisms, and bolted joint assessments.
  • You work independently, communicate effectively in English, and collaborate well across engineering teams.
  • A strong plus is hands-on experience in structural optimization, including sizing, shape, and topology optimization, preferably using OptiStruct.
What We Offer:
  • Work directly on complete satellite systems and products, with significant technical ownership from early design through qualification and operations.
  • Help establish engineering capabilities used across multiple Reflex satellite missions and product lines.
  • Work closely with specialists across Systems Engineering, AIT, software, electronics, structures, thermal, AOCS and power.
  • Enjoy 30 days of paid vacation and a special company holiday on April 12th, celebrating the International Day of Human Space Flight and the spirit of exploration.
  • We provide a hybrid work model along with flexible working hours, empowering you as the owner of your time management.
  • An annual training budget of 1.500€.
  • A contribution to your Urban Sports membership as well as a discount on public transportation.
  • A 20% contribution to your private pension plan.
  • Access to Corporate Benefits - a website with many discounts for various brands.
  • We exclusively offer permanent employment contracts, reflecting our commitment to building long-term relationships and supporting sustainable career growth within our organization.
