Job summary

Reflex Aerospace is seeking a software engineer to advance our ground software stack for satellite missions in Germany. You will split time between hands-on development and shaping system architecture, collaborating with Mission Operations, Flight Dynamics, AIT, and Flight Software teams.

With 3+ years of experience, you will work with Python/C/C++/Go, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms to build scalable, observable systems that ensure safe commanding and telemetry reception.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend skills in Python, C/C++, Go, with API design.
• Hands-on experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of ground-segment concepts and CCSDS standards.
• Focus on software quality, testing, and maintainable code.
• Ability to work independently within an agile team.

Responsibilities

Your Mission:

Your Background:

• You have 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• You bring strong backend development skills in Python, C/C++, Go, or similar languages, along with a deep understanding of distributed systems and API design.
• You have hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
• You understand ground‑segment concepts, including telemetry, telecommanding, and mission operations, and are familiar with space communication standards such as CCSDS.
• You bring strong analytical skills, sound technical judgment, and attention to detail, with a strong focus on software quality and testing.
• You are comfortable working independently while staying aligned with the software architecture, the team’s technical direction, and customer needs.
• You have very good communication and collaboration skills and experience working in agile software development environments.
