Jobbeschreibung
Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Stress Engineer to support structural analysis and certification activities for aircraft cabin interior components, including galleys, lavatories, stowage compartments, and monuments. This role involves detailed structural calculations, finite element analysis, and preparation of substantiation documentation to support certification according to CS25/FAR25 airworthiness standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct static and dynamic stress analyses using FEA tools such as NASTRAN/PATRAN.
  • Build and validate Finite Element Models (FEM) for cabin components and load-carrying structures.
  • Evaluate interface loads, deflections, and margin of safety across cabin monument installations.
  • Perform hand calculations to support FE results and certification documentation.
  • Ensure structural integrity under operational and ultimate load cases in compliance with EASA/FAA regulations.
  • Create and maintain stress reports and certification substantiation files.
  • Support the development and validation of test plans, including 16g/9g static and abuse tests.
  • Work closely with design engineers to optimize structural layouts and materials.
  • Assist in evaluating non-conformities, repairs, and concessions from a stress perspective.
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and DOA processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aerospace structural analysis, ideally in cabin interiors or monument structures.
  • Proficiency in FEA tools: NASTRAN, PATRAN; knowledge of ISAMI, Hypermesh, or Abaqus is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CS25/FAR25 regulations and aerospace certification environments.
  • Experience with both metallic and composite materials.
  • Exposure to Airbus aircraft programs (e.g., A320, A330, A350) is a plus.
  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken); German is beneficial but not essential.
