Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in strategy consulting or strategy roles in a large corporation (ideally chemical or related industry).
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Fluency in German and English, written and spoken; international experience is a plus.
• Master’s or PhD degree in chemistry, natural sciences or related fields.

• Prepare analyses and presentations for LANXESS Board of Management and Supervisory Board.

• Screen and evaluate peers, potential M&A targets, and LANXESS portfolio measures.
• Coordinate across corporate processes, regular strategy cycles, and resource planning.
• Shape future strategy work by enhancing core strategy capabilities, customer focus, and AI capabilities.

• 3-5 years of professional experience in strategy consulting or in strategy roles within a large corporation – ideally chemical or related industry experience – and Master’s or PhD degree in chemistry, natural sciences or related fields
• Industry knowledge about and understanding of chemical markets and value-chains
• Highly skilled in state-of-the-art strategy capabilities including AI-enhanced strategy work
• Highly analytical way of working combined with an entrepreneurial mindset, eager to own and drive tasks to success despite obstacles
• Accurate, fact driven work, ability to process and present complex constellations in a way that is tailored to the target group
• International experience, fluent in German and English, written and spoken
