Job summary

TOPTICA Photonics SE sucht einen Strategischen Produktmanager (m/w/d) für die Laser-Produktgruppe Narrowband Lasers. Sie übernehmen die strategische Ausrichtung, analysieren Märkte, Trends und Kundenbedürfnisse und gestalten Roadmap sowie Business Cases.

Sie arbeiten eng mit Produktmanagement, Entwicklung, Marketing und Vertrieb zusammen, unterstützen internationale Tochtergesellschaften und nutzen Ihr Netzwerk in der AMO- bzw. Quanten-Community; Englischkenntnisse sind willkommen.

Qualifications

• Abgeschlossenes Studium mit Ph.D. in Quanten­technologie, Quantenoptik, AMO-Physik oder vergleichbarem Fach.
• Berufserfahrung in Produktmanagement, Geschäftsentwicklung oder technischem Vertrieb.
• Tiefes Verständnis des AMO-Markts und Anwendungsfelder.
• Zusammenhang zu Quantencomputer-/Quantenkommunikation-/Quantenmesstechnik.

Responsibilities

• Strategische Verantwortung für die Produktgruppe Narrowband Lasers.
• Markt- und Wettbewerbsanalysen, Kundenanforderungen ableiten.
• Konsolidierung von Markt- und Kundenfeedback.
• Entwicklung von Produktgruppestrategie und Roadmap.
• Übersetzung von Produktideen in Entwicklungsprojekte.
• Vorbereitung und Bewertung von Business Cases.
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Produktmanagement, Entwicklung, Marketing und Vertrieb.
• Unterstützung strategischer Kunden und internationaler Tochtergesellschaften.

What can you expect in this role?

• Strategic responsibility for the "Narrowband Lasers" product group (including "Tunable Diode Laser Systems" - TDLS)
• Analysis of markets, trends, customer requirements, and the competition
• Consolidation of market and customer feedback
• Development of product group strategy and product roadmap
• Translation of product ideas into development projects
• Preparation and evaluation of business cases
• Close collaboration with product management, development, marketing, and sales
• Support for strategic customers and international subsidiaries

Must-haves: What you'll need for this role?

• Degree, including a Ph.D., in quantum technology, quantum optics, AMO physics, or a comparable field
• Professional experience in product management, business development, or technical sales
• In-depth understanding of the market and applications in the AMO field
• Knowledge of quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum metrology, and quantum sensing
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Experience in developing product strategies
• Strong communication and persuasion skills
• Extensive network within the AMO or quantum community
• Very good English skills
