Jobtailor in Germany seeks an experienced procurement professional to develop and implement global category strategies and manage a diverse supplier base.

You will lead negotiations, conduct risk and market analyses, and drive cost-reduction initiatives while supporting gate reviews and ensuring contract approvals. This role requires a degree or equivalent, international sourcing experience, and excellent English; travel is expected.

• Completed degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or successfully completed commercial vocational training combined with several years of purchasing experience in an industrial company.
• Experience in international sourcing.
• Proven track record of successful negotiations.

Aufgaben

• Negotiate framework agreements and pricing agreements.
• Conduct risk analyses.
• Approve suppliers and maintain the approved supplier base.
• Implement cost-reduction programs and benchmarking initiatives.
• Conduct market and technology analyses and prepare market development reports.
• Attend trade fairs and visit suppliers; conduct make-or-buy analyses and make-or-buy decisions.
• Support projects at defined gate reviews, particularly with regard to supplier strategy and contract approval.
• Serve as the escalation level for series-production purchasing.
